This review is regarding the sonic quality of this DVD-Audio, not of the content of Workingman's Dead. I love the Dead and this album. I bought this album for the High-resolution surround sound. Strongly recommend if you've got the money to burn. It definitely sounds better than the red book cd - clarity improvement is significant. Very good surround mix - rears integrated nicely. Solid DVD-Audio disc.

I've not been a big Dead fan but am a big dvd-audio fan. This disc really does a good job of making this old classic sound new (meaning "recent") in it's recorded quality. If you even slightly enjoyed the Dead, then this is a must have (if you can find one).
